Gays, lesbians and other queers fight for their rights here every day anew and have to defend themselves against numerous prejudices and discriminations.<\/p>\n<p>Now, among other things, the EU Commission President used her reach on twitter to side with the oppressed people in the neighbouring country. She stressed that it was important that <em>\"Our treaties ensure that every person in Europe is free to be who they are, <a href=\"https:\/\/schwulekontakte.com\/en\/lexicon\/live\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"In gay chat, &quot;live&quot; or &quot;real&quot; means a real meeting, usually for sex. People who chat with each other and at some point decide that it would be exciting to meet live are planning a real date in the face-to-face variant. Because: several municipalities in Poland recently adopted declarations that the rights of gays and lesbians in the country should be restricted. The absolute \"high point\" in this context was, or is, the convening of so-called \"gay rights conferences\". <a href=\"https:\/\/schwulekontakte.com\/en\/lexicon\/lgbt\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender or Transsexual. Anyone who has studied the history of gays and lesbians will quickly realise how multifaceted the world of same-sex love and everything that goes with it has become. In the course of time, it became clear that there is much more to love and sex...\" class=\"encyclopedia\">LGBT<\/a> free zones, to which attention should be drawn with separate signs at the respective entrances to the town.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, Germany is not the only country that was outraged by this. Many countries demanded a rethink from Poland. Some even threatened to cancel town twinning agreements. In some cases, applications related to the promotion of said partnerships were also rejected by the responsible EU Commission.<\/p>\n<h3>Polish LGBTQ scene does not let itself be defeated<\/h3>\n<p>Despite the discrimination and despite numerous threats, the <a href=\"https:\/\/schwulekontakte.com\/en\/lexicon\/lgbtq\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"In general terms, LGBTQ refers to the queer scene. The LGBTQ movement fights for the rights of people who feel they belong to it. The abbreviation LGBTQ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer. Accordingly, the abbreviation is made up of the first letters of the preferences in question (for the same sex, for example). The main identifying feature...\" class=\"encyclopedia\">LGBTQ<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/schwulekontakte.com\/en\/lexicon\/scene\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Scene&quot; is a comparatively broad term that can refer to different areas, including the gay scene. The term &quot;scene&quot; is a word that can be used with regard to incredibly diverse areas. The members of a scene often feel they belong together as a community and...\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Scene<\/a> Poland down. On the contrary! Many of its members <a href=\"https:\/\/schwulekontakte.com\/en\/lexicon\/come\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Coming is often used as a synonym for &quot;orgasm&quot; and plays an important role in dirty talk, among other things. Whoever talks about &quot;coming&quot; means - in a sexual context - the orgasm or coming to orgasm. Men squirt a few millilitres of sperm. This does not necessarily have to be &quot;pumped&quot; into the partner&#039;s body. Rather, they use...\" class=\"encyclopedia\">come<\/a> gathered in the streets to demonstrate for their rights.<\/p>\n<p>It may be a confusing picture: on one side the waving rainbow flags, on the other side the statement of the conservatives. But: especially now it seems more important than ever to live a message in a peaceful and yet certain way. There are certainly more gays and lesbians in Poland than it might seem at first glance and than the advocates of LGBT free zones would like to admit. All the better that the sexual minorities in the country are currently receiving a lot of support from abroad.<\/p>\n<h4>Will the LGBT free zones be repealed again?<\/h4>\n<p>Whether the LGBT-free zones in Poland will be lifted again in the coming months or years remains questionable. Among other things, it certainly depends on the pressure from the European community whether or when the Polish politicians will agree to give in. At the moment, they still have a not inconsiderable amount of support from the population.<\/p>\n<p>To what extent this could change if even more senior politicians were to comment on the current situation. <a href=\"https:\/\/schwulekontakte.com\/en\/lexicon\/position\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Position refers to the way two people have sex with each other. For gays, the doggy style is especially popular. Of course, every gay (and straight) man has his own favourites when it comes to choosing a certain position for sex. While some choose the more...\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Position<\/a> remains to be seen. After all, this is not only about defending old or modern values, but also about cohesion within the EU and the image of an entire country.
