Our Song for Rotterdam: Jendrik Sigwart competes with \"I Don't Feel Hate\" at ESC 2021<\/h1>\n\"Jendrik

The \"Eurovision Song Contest\" will take place again this year. It is a tradition that the event is held in the capital of the previous winner.<\/p>\n

Since no new winner could be determined last year due to the pandemic situation, the song contest will be held in the Netherlands in 2021. Here, Duncan Laurence managed to claim first place in 2019. Germany will be sending a party anthem with a catchy tune into the race for first place.<\/p>\n

Jendrik Sigwart composed \"I don't feel hate\" himself<\/h2>\n

The friendly Hamburg native brings colour to the ESC. With his self-composed song \"I Don't Feel Hate\", he wants to convince the jury and the whole of Europe. The song was written on his favourite instrument, the ukulele.<\/p>\n

The accompanying video clip was also made by the artist.<\/p>\n

Background fact: The fact that Jendrik even dedicated his bachelor's thesis to the stringed instrument shows how much he loves the ukulele. More musical love is probably impossible.<\/p>\n

The play has a rousing effect and invites you to celebrate - of course in 2021 only in consideration of the current Corona regulations. There will be no big parties or fan miles this year. But: especially the families who live together anyway and are enthusiastic about the ESC and the special flair around the contest should be looking forward to gathering in front of the televisions of the republic and voting for their favourite.<\/p>\n

Since here - as always - one cannot call for one's own country, it remains to be seen who will be the favourite (at least for the German audience).<\/p>\n

An artist with years of experience<\/h3>\n

Jendrik Sigwart has been an enthusiastic music fan since childhood. He learned to play the piano and violin as a teenager. At the university Osnabr\u00fcck<\/a> he completed a degree in music. In the meantime, he was on stage in various musical productions, including \"My Fair Lady<\/em>\", \"Hairspray<\/em>\" and \"Peter Pan<\/em>\". He even played the leading role in the latter play.<\/p>\n

Since these experiences, he loves the stage and a big audience. Interestingly, Sigwart - according to his own statement - can even be more enthusiastic about performing in front of many people than in front of fewer people.<\/p>\n

Optimal conditions to (possibly) convince at the ESC with a mix of healthy self-confidence and skill, right? And who knows? Maybe in 2021 there will once again be a real shower of points for Germany?<\/p>\n

How hip is the ESC today?<\/h4>\n

The ESC is one of those TV events that always has to defend itself against criticism from the most diverse camps. While some love the competition and celebrate it, others find the concept dusty.<\/p>\n

However, it is certainly young artists like Jendrik Sigwart who prove that the ESC definitely has a future - even and especially in times of Corona. All the better that he not only brings talent, but also an important message: love.<\/p>\n

Hate (unfortunately) plays an increasingly important role in today's world, including on social media platforms. The statement \"I don't feel hate<\/em>\" may seem idealistic, but it may be exactly what people around the world need right now.<\/p>\n
