A slut is often used to describe someone who has sex with several partners or cheats on their steady partner.

The term slut can look back on a long history. As a rule, it refers to someone who repeatedly has new sex partners or who does not manage to remain faithful to their partner.

In the past, "slut" was mostly associated with the female sex. But: of course there are also male sluts.

However, it is a prejudice that gay men in particular are not capable of remaining faithful to their partners. Many gays have been in harmonious relationships for years.

However, sluts are usually distinguished by another character trait: Dishonesty. The classic slut betrays her partners. She lies in order to achieve her goal - usually sexual satisfaction - and does not shy away from stealing other people's partners and thus destroying happy relationships.

Sluts are considered extremely selfish and self-absorbed and are often reduced to their appearance. For many people, the typical slut dresses very openly to show those around her what she expects: sex.

And this is exactly where a high risk is hidden. Because: of course not every man (or woman) who dresses openly is also a slut.

In some cases, this kind of insult is also accompanied by envy. Some people who call others "whores" envy the fact that they manage to live their lives so free of constraints. Accordingly, the term "slut" in connection with a certain person can also be a compensation for one's own feeling of inferiority or dissatisfaction.
